TOWN OF NIAGARA — A 37-year-old Niagara Falls man was charged on Thursday with felony first-degree reckless endangerment, felony criminal possession of stolen property and felony second-degree criminal mischief in addition to unlawful fleeing a police officer and numerous vehicle and traffic tickets.

According to New York State Police, Germaine V. Brown had been stopped by a Trooper around 9:12 p.m. Monday on Miller Road following a complaint of a reckless driver. While the Trooper approached the vehicle, Brown placed his vehicle in motion and struck the patrol vehicle then fled. The initial Trooper was not able to continue the pursuit due to the extensive damage to the patrol vehicle. Another patrol vehicle continued the pursuit but then stopped for safety factors near the City of Niagara Falls.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen. The suspect was later identified as Brown, who was located in a joint effort by NYSP Violent Felony Warrants, Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Niagara Falls PD.

Brown was arraigned in the Town of Niagara Court and remanded to Niagara County Jail on $10,000 bail.
