Niagara County has reactivated Foreign Trade Zone #34.

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency and Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce will host a free symposium at 9 a.m. Jan. 25 at the Vantage Center, 6311 Inducon Corporate Drive in Sanborn to explain what this means for area businesses and trade partners. The organizations will be hosting officials from FTZ #34 , as well as representatives from Global New York, a new initiative launched by Gov. Andrew Cuomo that offers one-stop shopping to both foreign businesses looking to invest in New York and to local businesses who want to export globally. They will be presenting ways in which the FTZ can help local business and grow their bottom line and offer information on New York State programs that can assist businesses with additional exporting support through grants and/or technical assistance.

There will be a light breakfast and networking before the presentations. To attend this event, RSVP to Elena Woods at ewoods@niagarachamber.org or (716) 285‐9141. Seating is limited.
