GRAND ISLAND – A 55-year-old Wheatfield man was charged with driving while intoxicated Wednesday evening following a crash on Regency Drive at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Deputies placed David Adams into custody after administering field sobriety tests and a breath test that indicated a BAC level nearly twice the legal limit. He was charged with reckless driving, criminal mischief – recklessly causing property damage, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations in addition to the DWI.
Adams was released on tickets to a sober third party and National Fuel Gas crews worked to repair the gas leak. No injuries were reported.
