Maureen B. Devin of the Town of Pendleton, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. She  was born in Niagara Falls, NY,  on September 19, 1961, the daughter of Lurana M. [O’Shea] Shanahan and the late Bernard F. Shanahan.

Maureen graduated from both Wilson High School and the University of Buffalo. She received her Master’s Degree from Canisius College. She was a teacher with the Niagara Falls Board of Education and taught at Abate Elementary and Gaskill Middle School for over 15 years. She was a home sales consultant before becoming a real estate agent with Realty USA in Williamsville for the past few years. Maureen loved spending time with her family, she was an avid scrap booker and enjoyed skiing, swimming, hiking, biking and was known for being a coffee snob.  

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband Timothy M. Devin, they were married on August 10, 1991, their children  Ryan T., Brooke K. and Lauren E. Devin, two brothers Major Bernard J. (Caryn) Shanahan and Brian P. Shanahan, two sisters Erin (Jeffrey) Lynch and Colleen Shanahan, she was  the daughter in law of Michael and Norma Devin and sister in law of Erin Ryan and Todd (Lisy) Devin. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins,  nieces and nephews.

Her family will be present on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Family and friends  are invited to assemble and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 AM St. Joseph Church, 3269 Main Street, Buffalo, NY.

Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
