BROOKLYN — Buffalo State was limited to a season-low 34 points and committed 35 turnovers in a 79-34 loss at Brooklyn College today in the first game of the New Year.

Caleh McLean (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) led Buffalo State with 10 points and added seven rebounds.
Shayasha Spencer (Geneva/Geneva) chipped in nine points, and Princella McCullough (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) had four points and a team-best nine rebounds. The first quarter ended with the score knotted at 9-9, but the Bulldogs outscored the Bengals 33-9 in the second period and pulled away. Brooklyn hit nine 3-pointers, compared to three by the Bengals.  The Bulldogs also committed just 12 turnovers, and registered 10 blocks.
                                                                                           
Buffalo State will return to SUNYAC play at Potsdam this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
