BOSTON — The Boston Bruins beat the Buffalo Sabres again this afternoon — this time by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Boston sweeps the season series against Buffalo.

Frank Vatrano got Boston on the board early, scoring just 1:28 into the 1 p.m. game. Zdeno Chara assisted on the goal.

In the second period, Patrice Bergeron put Boston up 2-0 at 7:04. Ryan Spooner and Brad Marchand assisted. Tim Schaller made it 3-0 about half way through the period, assisted by Torey Krug and Austin Czarnik. Jack Eichel finally got the Sabres on the board with 22 seconds to go in the period, assisted by Ryan Ristolainen and Sam Reinhart.

A scoreless third period concluded the game.

The Sabres, now 13-15-8, next play at the New York Rangers on Tuesday.
