Harry M. Bouchard of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, in the Treasure Coast Hospice House, Stuart, FL. He was born in Duluth, MN, on April 11, 1926 to the late Harry M and Louise [Dyer] Bouchard.

Mr. Bouchard moved to Hamburg, NY, with his family as a child. Mr. Bouchard served in the US Navy during World War II. After the war, he graduated from Brockport State Teacher’s College and received his Master’s Degree from Buffalo State University. Mr. Bouchard was a teacher for the Niagara Falls Board of Education and became a Principal at Ferry Avenue and Maple Avenue Schools, retiring in 1983. Before retiring, Mr. Bouchard was a member of the School Masters Bowling League. In retirement, he enjoyed time in Florida at Miles Grant Country Club playing golf, tennis, fishing and traveling.

Mr. Bouchard was the husband of 49 years to Helen R. [Droney] Bouchard, who passed away in November 2008. He is survived by his son, Michael (Sharon) Bouchard and daughter Sandra J. (Robert) Peters, grandchildren Daniel, Katie, Jacob, Mary and Mark, his nephew, Clarke Droney and his dear companion Phyllis Fitzgerald. Mr. Bouchard had one sister, the late Connie Morris.

His family will be present on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Peter’s Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY. with the Rev. Vincent O’Malley officiating.

Memorials may be made in his name to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1000 SE Ruhnke St., Stuart, FL 34994.
