Twenty-seven-year-old Brandon Medley of Buffalo has been sentenced to 12 years in prison following a conviction in June on charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal contempt, and three counts of second-degree criminal contempt.

Prosecutors say that on four occasions during 2014, the defendant violated the order of protection against the victim. During an incident in July 2014, he forced his way into the victim’s home, striking her and putting his hands around her neck.  The following day, Medley violated the order of protection by calling the victim from the Erie County Holding Center. He also twice violated the order of protection against the victim in August of 2014 and during one of those incidents, tore her shirt and spit in her face.
