SUNRISE, Fla. — After falling behind 2-0 to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday, Buffalo came back to not only tie the game, but take the lead mid-way through the third period before giving up the tying goal and heading to a shootout.

The Sabres have not fared well in the shootout this season and Tuesday was no different when they walked out of BB&T Center  with a loss.

Sabres goals came from Sam Reinhart, Evander Kane and Rasmus Ristolainen.

Jaromir Jagr had three assists for Florida to tie Mark Messier for second place on the NHL’s all-time points list.

The Sabres next play Thursday when the Carolina Hurricanes visit KeyBank Center.
