Gilberto ‘Chico’ Lopez entered into rest on December 19, 2016 at the VA hospital. Born on October 25, 1950 in Cayey Puerto Rico, he was the son of Vincente and Maximina (Gonzalez) Lopez.
Gilbert served in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1975, where he was an aircraft mechanic. He retired from Harrison’s, retired from the Kingsman MC, loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, motorcycles, traveling and going to LaPorts.
Beloved Father of Nicole Holloway, Joshua Lopez, Nina (Bennie Carter, Jr.) Beiter, Juanita (Thomas) Hugaboom; step-father of Eric Windnagle; cherished grandfather of thirteen and great-grandfather of one. Predeceased by grandson, Matthew David. Dear brother of Efrain (Gina) Lopez and Carmen Jemison. Dear friend of Sharon Owens and Lynette Ross.
Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday at the Taylor and Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara St., where the funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Condolences may be offered below, and flowers may be purchased through The Flower Barn.
