FREDONIA — A 21-year-old Hamburg man was charged early this morning with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 20.
According to New York State Police, Shawn Fischer was pulled over for a traffic violation. While speaking to Fischer, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle, which led to a search and the subsequent discovery of about five grams of marijuana in his pocket. The troopers also located a glass pipe and a grinder, both containing marijuana residue in Fischer’s vehicle.
Fischer was released with an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Pomfret Court later in the month.
