LATHAM — Eighteen members of the New York Army National Guard hailing from Western New York were recently promoted in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

They include:

  • Amanda Klein from Buffalo and serving with the 105th Military Police Company is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Mark Giglio from Tonawanda and serving with the Company C (Medical), 427th Brigade Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Captain.
  • Amanda Mullen from Webster and serving with the Company C (Medical), 427th Brigade Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Crystal Voak from Cheektowaga and serving with the Company C (Medical), 427th Brigade Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Kenny George from Frewsburg and serving with the Company A, 642nd Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Preston Weatherspoon from Rochester and serving with the Headquarters and Service Company, 204th Engineer Battalion is promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Kaitlin Resides from Rochester and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 102nd Military Police Battalion is promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Christopher Lander from Webster and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 427th Brigade Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Captain.
  • Matthew Ebel from North Collins and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Joshua Kwitowski from Alden and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Cody Lachut from Arcade and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion is promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Mbaye Niang from Buffalo and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Antonio Hill from Buffalo and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) is promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Curtis Heale from Holley and serving with the Headquarters and Service Company, 642nd Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Brent Gerwitz from Lackawanna and serving with the B Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Jacob Wesolowski from Ischua and serving with the B Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Joseph Andalora from Tonawanda and serving with the C Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
  • Dylan Anthony from Jamestown and serving with the C Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) is promoted to the rank of Specialist.
