After upsetting the No. 1 team in the country, Buffalo State men’s hockey team finds itself in the top 10 in both of the national polls this week, remaining at No. 10 in the D3Hockey.com poll while moving up two-spots to No. 9 in the USCHO.com poll.

Both ranks are the highest marks received in program history.

The Bengals dropped a hard-found effort to Cortland on Friday before bouncing back with a 5-1 victory over No. 1 Oswego on Saturday.  The win for Buffalo State was the first victory over a No. 1 program in school history.

The SUNYAC has three teams in both rankings, with Oswego (1/1) and Geneseo (7/7) joining Buffalo State in the top 10.

The Bengals are on break for the holidays before returning to practice on Dec. 29.

Buffalo State will next compete in the Boston Landing Collegiate Invitational, opening against Becker on Jan. 6 at 5 p.m.
