CHEEKTOWAGA — The Town Park Community Association will hold its annual Christmas Party at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Cheektowaga Community Center on Alexander Avenue.

Area residents are invited to attend, as are Town public officials.

The organization will supply soft drinks, coffee, snacks and eating utensils. Anyone interested in bringing a desert or side dish is welcome, however it is not mandatory.

Founded by 23 Town residents who gathered at Steve Bylebyl’s Restaurant (now Peter K’s) in May 1946, the “Town Park Home Owners Association” was formed. Now known as the “Town Park Community Association,” the Association is still made up of ordinary citizens looking to the continual betterment of the Town Park Pine Hill neighborhoods.

The group, which meets monthly at the Alexander Community Center –except July and August — invites members of the Cheektowaga Town Board, police department officials and other public officials to discuss community matters with interested residents.
