ELLERY — A 65-year-old Bemus Point man was charged Wednesday with aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Maple Springs-Ellery Road.

According to New York State Police, Thomas Stanton was pulled over for driving erratically and determined to be intoxicated. He was taken to the Jamestown Troopers’ barracks, where he provided a breath sample of .20 percent blood alcohol content.

Stanton was processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Ellery Court next month to answer the charge, and released.
