Buffalo State sophomore defensive tackle Billy Carroll (Holtsville/Sachem East) was named All-East Region third team by D3Football.com on Monday.
The sophomore was a standout in the trenches for the Bengals in his first season after transferring from Cortland. The political science major finished with 40 tackles, including 9.5 for loss and a team-best 4.5 sacks. He also had an interception.
Carroll was previously named first team All-Empire 8.
Buffalo State ended the season with a 5-5 overall mark, finishing .500 or better for the sixth-consecutive season.
