WILSON — The Niagara County SPCA, Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Department of Conservation raided a Beebe Road home this evening, where they say the found hundreds of animals, many of which were dead.

Among the animals reportedly found at the residential home were snakes, birds, rats, chickens and one wild fox, which is why the Department of Environmental Conservation is involved.

Officials say the SPCA got a tip about the home and attempted to gain entry to check it out but were rebuffed. They then obtained a warrant and returned, where they found the dire situation.

The animals are currently being taken from the home.

We’ll bring you more details when we get them.
