BUFFALO — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Erik Burgdoerfer from the Rochester Americans (AHL).
Burgdoerfer (6’1”, 207 lbs., 12/11/1988) joins the Sabres for the first time after signing as an unrestricted free agent on July 21, 2016. In 22 games for the Amerks this season, Burgdoerfer has seven assists and 24 penalty minutes. The Abington, Pennsylvania native has posted 35 points (7+28) and 145 penalty minutes in 157 career AHL games.
