TOWN OF ROYALTON — A 27-year-old Gasport man was charged Saturday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Gasport Road.

According to New York State Police, Bryan L. Fitts was the passenger in a motor vehicle that was stopped for an expired inspection sticker. Further investigation revealed Fitts was in possession of two pipes containing crack cocaine residue and a Subutex pill without a prescription.

Fitts was placed under arrest and transported to SP Lockport for processing, then issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Royalton Court at a later date.
