ELLINGTON — A local teen was charged with felony third-degree criminal mischief and trespassing on Saturday after New York State Police found his vehicle stuck on a piece of property.

According to NYSP, Troopers responded to the scene and interviewed the property owner, the teen and several witnesses. Investigation revealed that the land in question was properly “posted” and the off-road incident was not accidental, resulting in approximately $1,500.00 in damaged crops.

The teen was processed at SP Jamestown and released with appearance tickets, to appear in the Town of Ellington Court later in the month.
