PENDLETON — Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies and other local law enforcement continue to look for an Oakwood Drive man this morning.

Sheriff’s deputies went to the home of 44-year-old Christopher M. Wright Wednesday afternoon after he threated to harm himself. At the same time, Starpoint Central Schools entered into a “lockout” mode, preventing anyone from entering the school.

Wright was the subject of a criminal investigation at the time and patrols were dispatched to the area in an attempt to locate him after he was not found at his home. An aerial and ground search was conducted by several law enforcement units, several K9 units and a helicopter following unconfirmed reports that he may be on foot in the area. NCSO ERT responded to the scene and assisted with checking the residence for the male party, however, he was not found.

The manhunt was concluded shortly after dusk, however, NCSO has an Attempt to Locate out for Wright who is described as a 5-foot, 8-inch tall white male weighing 210 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. The investigation into alleged criminal activity is continuing.
