BUFFALO – Canisius closes out a five-game homestand this weekend as it entertains Bentley for a pair of Atlantic Hockey Conference contests at KeyBank Rink in HARBORCENTER.

The Golden Griffins and Falcons open their two-game set Friday before wrapping up the series on Saturday. Puck drop for both games is slated for 7:35 p.m.

Canisius (5-8-2, 4-3-2 AHC) begins the weekend tied with Mercyhurst for fourth place in the league standings while Bentley (3-6-3, 2-4-2 AHC) is part of a four-way deadlock for eighth with Holy Cross, Niagara and Sacred Heart.

Freshman forward Nick Hutchison continues to pace the Canisius attack as the rookie forward leads the Griffs in both goals (6) and points (8). Hutchison has tallied points in each of the last four contests, amassing four goals and two assists in those games. Charles Williams begins the week ranked seventh in the nation in save percentage (.938). He also ranks 17th in goals against average (2.20) and tied for seventhin shutouts (2) nationally. He was named Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Month for November on Thursday. The Griffs have been tough to beat at HARBORCENTER this season, posting a 3-1-2 in its six home games to date. Canisius suffered its first home loss of the campaign last Friday against Mercyhurst. Sophomore Dylan McLaughlin heads into the weekend looking to continue his playmaking ways against the Falcons. The Lancaster product recorded six assists during last season’s series against Bentley, tallying two assists in the opener before matching the program’s Division I mark with four assists in the series finale.
