OTTAWA, Ont. — Buffalo Sabres franchise player Jack Eichel could make his season debut on the ice tonight against the Ottawa Senators.

Eichel participated in a full practice on Monday, centering a line with Evander Kane and Sam Reinhart. After practice, Sabres Head Coach Dan Bylsma didn’t say Eichel would play tonight — but he also didn’t say he wouldn’t. He did, however, say the Sabres would call someone up from Rochester if Eichel wasn’t ready to go. The Sabres have not yet done so.

“Jack looks good on the ice,” Bylsma said. “I thought yesterday was a bigger test for him … He responded well to it, came back this morning feeling good about it and today he looks real good, his skating’s good, he’s beating guys, stepping off guys, creating room and separation. Looks good to me.”

Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m.
