CHEEKTOWAGA — New York State Police in conjunction with the Cheektowaga Police Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Harlem Road on Wednesday.

Five people were charged with either DWI of marijuana possession during the checkpoint.

Lisa M. Wood, 36, of Lexington Terrace in Amherst, was arrested for aggravated DWI. She provided a breath sample of .18 percent and was released on appearance tickets to the Town of Cheektowaga Court on Dec. 7.

Kristopher R. Jankowski, 33, of Westland Parkway in Cheektowaga, was charged with DWI. He provided a breath sample of .08 percent and was released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Cheektowaga Court on Dec. 13.

Chris W. Brown, 19, of Kensington Avenue in Buffalo, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana after Troopers found over three ounces of marijuana. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Cheektowaga Court on Dec. 8.

Spencer J. May, 26, of Central Boulevard in Cheektowaga, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. A search of the vehicle was conducted and less than 25 grams of marijuana was recovered. May was processed on scene and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Cheektowaga Court on Dec. 7.

Jasmine L. Otero, 28, of Spring Street in Buffalo, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. A search of his vehicle was conducted and less than 25 grams of marijuana was recovered. Otero was processed on scene and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Cheektowaga Court on Dec. 12.
