BUFFALO — Acting District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 20 year-old Jamar Sales, formerly of Crestwood Avenue, Buffalo was sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia to six months in jail and five years post-release supervision for a deadly crash.

In September, Sales pleaded guilty to Criminally Negligent Homicide.

On August 20, 2015, Sales drove his car, at a high rate of speed through a red light at Masten Ave. and Northampton St. in the City of Buffalo.  His vehicle crashed into a vehicle driven by 72 year old Sylvia deRosas who was proceeding through the intersection with a green light.  The resulting crash caused her death.
