CLEVELAND, Ohio — Niagara University women’s basketball will take on Cleveland State at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Wolstein Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.

The Purple Eagles hosted No. 6/5 Maryland on Sunday, Nov. 20. The Terrapins defeated Niagara, 96-64. Niagara is the only team so far this season to hold Maryland under 100 points and 64 points is the most the Terrapins have allowed. Victoria Rampado led the Purple Eagles in scoring with a season-high 24 points. Rampado is the only Purple Eagle to score in double digits in all games so far this season. Rampado and Kaylee Stroemple led the team in rebounds with five each.

Rampado leads the Purple Eagles in both scoring and rebounding; she averages 18.3 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. She also has a team-high four blocks. Tiffany Corselli has a team-high six steals and is second in scoring, averaging 9.8 points per game. Freshman guard Maggie McIntyre leads Niagara with 13 assists and is second in steals with five. Stroemple is second in rebounding with an average of 5.3 rebounds per game.

The Purple Eagles open conference play, and begin a three-game home stand, when they host Monmouth on Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. and Rider on Dec. 4 at 2:00 p.m. Niagara closes out its home stand on Wednesday, Dec. 7 when it hosts the Hartford Hawks.
