KENMORE — Santa Claus must get bored of riding around in that sleigh of his. On Saturday, he arrived in Niagara Falls by helicopter. This coming Saturday, he’ll be arriving at the Kenmore Municipal Building and Green by fire truck.

Santa’s 1 p.m. arrival will be followed by the annual lighting of the Christmas tree, signaling the official beginning of the Christmas season in Kenmore. Afterwards, Santa will visit with the children inside for no charge. Free hot chocolate will be provided.

The event is sponsored by Village of Kenmore, Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks and Recreation Department, Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department and Kenmore Improvement Society.
