GERRY — A 37-year-old Perrysburg woman was charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment, accused of sending threatening text messages.

According to New York State Police, Troopers received a complaint where the complainant reported Sherrie Carter was sending her text messages threatening her life, even after the victim’s request to stop.

Carter was subsequently arrested, arraigned in the Town of Ellery Court and released on her own recognizance, to appear in the Town of Gerry Court later in the month to answer the charge.
