
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Despite an early 1-0 Buffalo Sabres lead, the Sabres lost handily to the St. Louis Blues 4-1 Tuesday night.
Sam Reinhart scored the Sabres lone goal, a power-play goal 7:55 into the first period. The goal was assisted by Matt Moulson and Kyle Okposo. Buffalo didn’t maintain the lead for long, however as the Blues tied the game just 3 minutes and 3 seconds later.
After a scoreless second period, St. Louis scored three goals in the third period — all at even strength — the secure the 4-1 win.
The Sabres next play Thursday when the Tampa Lightning visit they KeyBank Center.
