WHEATFIELD — A 21-year-old North Tonawanda woman was issued tickets for following too closely, driving without a license, speeding and failure to provide an insurance card after police say she collided with a stopped school bus on Hoover Road.

According to New York State Police, Troopers responded to the crash scene at approximately 2:41 p.m. Once there, they determined that investigation reveals that a 2003 Buick operated by Elijah R. Zapp was traveling southbound on Hoover Road just south of Raymond Road. A Niagara Wheatfield School bus with 29 children aboard was dropping off a child with its red lights flashing. Zapp rear-ended the bus when he failed to stop.
