BUFFALO — The MAAC today announced sophomore Vivian Mroz and junior Travis Wright as the conference’s divers of the week for their performances against St. Bonaventure last weekend.
Mroz, a Denver, Colo. native, placed first in the women’s one and the three meter diving events against rival St. Bonaventure scoring 239.10 in the one meter and 243.23 in the three meter event.
Mroz placed over 23 popints higher than the second scoring diver in the one meter and over 36 points higher than the next closest diver in the three meter.
Wright also swept his events, scoring 326.55 in the one meter and 339.53 in the three meter event.
During his junior season, the Derby, native has won each of his 10 events in five meets to begin the 2016-17 season.
The Griff divers will look to continue their strong play when they take on Binghamton this Saturday from the Burt Flickinger at noon.
