Francis John Moran, 72, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Francis was born in Clarks Summit, PA on September 18, 1944. He lived in Scranton, PA until the age of 10, then moved to Niagara Falls, NY, where he remained a lifelong resident.
Francis attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and Trott Vocational High School. After high school, he enlisted with the Army National Gaurd. At the age of 22, he was employed by Ford Motor Company, in Buffalo, NY, where he remained until his retirement. Francis also owned and operated Phones Unlimited from 1978 until his passing.
In his free time, Fran was an avid fan of trains, computers, cars and above all, spending time with his many grandchildren.
Francis is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Moran; children, Lisa LaSeur (William), Kim Edwards (Nicholas), Patrick Moran, Timothy Moran, Tami Moran and Brian Moran. He is also survived by a brother, Lewis Moran (Douglas); many cousins; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Fran was predeceased by his eldest son, Francis J. Pecoraro.
The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, November 21st from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 6:30 p.m.
