PENDLETON — A 55-year-old Amherst man was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Meyer Road.

According to New York State Police, Troopers were dispatched to an ATV accident on Meyer Road, in which investigation revealed Randolph H. Lane was operating an ATV westbound on Meyer Road when he swerved off the roadway.  Lane showed signs of alcohol intoxication and was placed under arrest after he failed field sobriety tests. Lane was transported to SP Lockport where he consented to a breath test that recorded a .16 percent blood alcohol content.
Lane was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Pendleton Court where he is scheduled to appear at a later date.
