
WHEATFIELD — The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office has identifed a man who they engaged in a two-hour long standoff on Monday on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
According to NCSO, James Walcott has been charged with a pair of misdemeanors — menacing and reckless endangerment. A felony weapons charge is reportedly pending. The 46-year-old had kept police at bay with a rifle and threats of violence. Walcott reportedly fired two shots from the rifle inside the home.
Eventually Walcott surrendered peacefully. He is being held in the Niagara County Jail on $2500 cash bail or $5000 bond.
