ELLERY — A 23-year-old Jamestown man was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash on Route 430.

According to New York State Police, Troopers responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on Route 430. Investigation revealed that Thaddeus Johnson was driving west on Route 430, drifted to the left, overcorrected, then left the north side of the roadway and coming to rest in the ditch. Johnson was uninjured.

Johnson was arrested after failing several SFSTs and transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .09 percent. Johnson was then processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Ellery Court and released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellery Court later in the month to answer the charge.
