BUFFALO — The University at Buffalo football team will host Akron on Thursday night at UB Stadium.

The Bulls are 1-6 overall, 0-3 in the MAC and are coming off a 44-7 loss at Northern Illinois last Saturday. Buffalo was led by running back Jordan Johnson who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Akron is 5-3 overall, 3-1 in the MAC and is coming off a 35-25 win at Ball State last Saturday. The Zips are led by quarterback Thomas Woodson who has passed for 1,585 yards and 15 touchdowns on the year.  Akron leads the all-time series, 10-5. The Zips won the last meeting, 42-21, last season at InfoCision Stadium.
