BUFFALO — Buffalo police have arrested a Hamburg male in connection with a Friday afternoon bank robbery, the police department announced moments ago via Twitter.

BPD had asked for the public’s help finding or identifying a suspect from the Friday afternoon robbery that occurred at the Northwest Bank, Ellicott Square branch located at 295 Main St.

The suspect was said to be a lone male who was wearing a blue or purple wind suit and hat, white turtleneck, and sunglasses. He left the branch heading north on Main Street around 12:20 p.m.

There’s no immediate word as to whether the suspect they were seeking is the same as the one in custody.
