BUFFALO — Buffalo police responded to a call of an accident involving a Buffalo fire truck this morning.
The incident happened at 9:50am at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Bryant Street where authorities say BFD was responding to a call with lights and sirens when it went through a green light and struck a civilian vehicle.
Officials say the driver of the other vehicle had to be extricated and that the injuries to the male driver appear to be non-life threatening.
There were no immediate reports of injuries to firefighters but there was extensive damage to both Engine 2 and the other vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation.
