Ernest Boyce of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016, in Brookdale Senior Living. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on October 12, 1925, the son of the late William and Elizabeth [Robertson] Boyce.

Mr. Boyce graduated from Niagara Falls High School and from the Kelly Business Institute. He served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Boyce was employed with the US Post Office in Niagara Falls and in Whittier, CA from 1959 until 1969. He moved back to the Lockport area in 1969 and worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport, before retiring in 1989. He was a member of UAW and enjoyed spending time with his family, doing crossword puzzles and reading.

Mr. Boyce is survived by his wife of  61 years Audrey L. [Zilm] Boyce, two sons Russell E. (Molly) Boyce and Craig D. (Susan) Boyce, one daughter Cynthia E. (Tobias) Fronmuller,  four grandchildren Alex,  Andrew,  Ashley and Abigail, a great grand daughter Eloise May, two sisters Gertrude Burns and Irene Pieroni, also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James, Stanley and Douglas Boyce and Doris Watson.

His family will be present on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.

Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY  14094
Private funeral services with military honors were held at the wishes of his family.

Inurnment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.
