
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The University at Buffalo women’s rowing team traveled to Pittsburgh over the weekend to compete against Duquesne and Dayton. The Bulls Varsity 4 boat dominated their race winning by nearly a minute.
The Varsity 4 boat of Marissa Scaduto, Dania Abul-Enin, Hannah Annunziata, Alexa Hillis and Victoria Nehls finished with a time of 17:39.48. Duquesne came in second place with a time of 18:30.21.
The Bulls took second in the Varsity 8 race, finishing behind Duquesne and ahead of Dayton.The Varsity 8 boat was made up of Ally Mayo, Madeline Sheffield, Isabella Goldberg, Elisabeth Good, Erin O’Connell, Elizabeth Shilling, Rylee James, Ankita Kelkar and Hayley Nieves.
The Second Varsity 8 boat of Caeleigh Heavey, Anna Sviripa, Maddy Saporito, Stephanie Busha, Sophie Wisoff, Paige Krohn, Natalie Howk, Juliana Gomez and Sarah Brill finished third in their race with a time of 15:47.91 – less than a second behind Duquesne.
The Bulls will conclude the Fall portion of their schedule at the Head of the Schuykill on October 29.
