Kathryn M. ‘Katie’ Travis of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, in Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston, NY. She was born in Buffalo, NY, on September 8, 1951, the daughter of the late Earl J. and Rita A. [Schwendler] Miller.
Katie graduated from Cardinial O’Hara High School and became a claims representative with State Farm Insurance for 42 years, before retiring in 2013. She is survived by her husband of 38 years Chuck Travis, a daughter Corey (Kevin) Rhoney, a sister Karen (late Robert) Smith, her beloved cat Carl, also several brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Michael J. Miller.
Her family will be present on Sunday, from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM, with Msgr. David LiPuma officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
Memorials may be made in her name to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
