COLLINS — A 21-year-old Collins man was charged with third-degree rape — an E Felony — accused of raping a woman he met on an online dating site.
According to New York State Police, Todd M. Wingard had started a relationship with a 21-year-old woman he met online. Troopers received a report on Tuesday of a possible rape. Following the sexual assault investigation, Wingard was arrested on Wednesday by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Wingard was arraigned in the Town of Collins Court for further proceedings.
