MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Buffalo Sabres shut out the Carolina Hurricanes, 2-0 Tuesday night at the Kraft Hockeyville USA pre-season game.
Following a scoreless first period, Nicolas Deslauriers got the Sabres on the board 1:39 into the second period. Sam Reinhart made it 2-0 at 17:39 of the same period, Jack Eichel and Casey Nelson.
Robin Lehner made 29 saves for the shutout.
The Sabres and Hurricanes are set to face off again Wednesday night in Carolina.
