BUFFALO — When Jose Bautista made an injury rehab appearance with the Bisons in July, it created quite a memorable weekend at Coca-Cola Field with over 40,000 fans came to the ballpark for the three-game stint against Gwinnett that included one of the Herd’s biggest promotions of the year — Star Wars Night on July 23.
Now one lucky fan will be able to hold on to an exclusive collectible item from that weekend — Bautista’s game-worn Star Wars Night jersey.
The Bisons put the jersey up for auction, planning on it running through Sunday. But someone using the handle “sportsnutz29” scooped it up using the buy-it-now feature, which was set to $600.
While you may not have been able to snag the jersey, take comfort in knowing the proceeds benefit the compass house. Also, the Bisons have put 4-Packs for Star Wars Night 2017 on sale.
