The Canisius men’s and women’s cross country teams will take part in the 43nd annual Paul Short Invitational Saturady at Lehigh University. The race is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m with the men’s open race, followed by the men’s Gold 8k event at 11 a.m. and the women’s Gold 6k event at 11:45 a.m.
This will mark the third time the men will run in the 8k Gold event, after they finished in sixth place a year ago. The women’s team also finished sixth in the event, marking the third top-ten finish in school history.
In last years race the Golden Griffins were led by sophomore Siobhan Quinn, who finished seventh overall with a time of 21:35 in the women’s Brown 6k event.
Senior Jeff Antolos was the top finisher for the men at last years race, finishing 24th overall with a time of 24:37
This will mark the 12th time Canisius will take place in the Invitational.
