The Buffalo State men’s hockey team might not kick off its season until Nov. 4 but it continues to receive good news in the form of another graduate from the program getting a shot at the next level.

Todd Graham (2012-16) is the latest Bengal to sign a professional contract, taking his talents to Tranas AIF Hockey in Sweden’s Division I league. The Melbourne, Australia native could play his first game with his new squad in Sweden as soon as Saturday, pending his international transfer card going through.

Graham was a four-year defenseman for the Bengals, posting six goals and 23 assists (29 points) in 79 career games played.  He was an instrumental part in the Bengals school-record 15 wins in 2015-16, with the team appearing in the SUNYAC semifinals for the fifth-consecutive season.

Graham graduated from Buffalo State with a degree in marketing, and spent this past summer playing for the Melbourne Ice of the Australian Ice Hockey League, a semi-pro organization that he had been a member of since 2006.
