CHERRY CREEK — A 30-year-old Gowanda man was charged today with felony driving while intoxicated and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

According to New York State Police, Paul Giambrone II was pulled over on Center Street for committing traffic violations on Main Street, and determined to be intoxicated. He was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .17 percent blood alcohol.

Giambrone’s driving record revealed two DWI convictions within the preceding 10 years, so the charge was upgraded to a felony and since his driving privileges in New York had been revoked due to the convictions, he was additionally charged with the AUO. Giambrone was then processed, issued tickets for the multiple traffic offenses that were committed, arraigned in the Town of Charlotte Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.
