TOWN OF NIAGARA — A 52-year-old Niagara Falls man was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Military Road.

According to New York State Police, Troopers stopped Shawn Chateauneuf around 6:59 p.m. after the vehicle he was operating committed a lane violation. Following the stop, Troopers determined him to be intoxicated and charged him with DWI. He was also found to possess several Hydrocodone pills without a prescription.
