BUFFALO — The University at Buffalo named Stephanie Ward and Jordan Johnson its Athletes of the Week.

Bulls’ freshman Stephanie Ward had another impressive race for Buffalo at the UB Stampede. Ward led the Bulls to a second place overall finish, when the tie breaker revealed they were .50 seconds behind first place. She was neck-and-neck with the first place finisher until the last couple yards. Ward completed the race in 21:90.20, just shy of a first place finish. Ward was the first of seven Bulls to finish in the Top-15.

Senior running back Jordan Johnson accounted for 144 all-purpose yards and scored two touchdowns against Nevada on Saturday. He had 17 carries for 87 yards and scored on a 12-yard touchdown run. He also took a screen pass and raced 57 yards for a touchdown. It was the longest touchdown of his career.
