ALLEGANY — New York State Police were busy Sept. 6, dealing with complaints of shoplifters from Walmart Plaza.
Around 12:22 p.m., Troopers arrested Sandra L Sherlock, 36 of Olean, charging her with petit larceny. Troopers had been called to Payless Shoes in the Walmart Plaza for a female shoplifter. Troopers responded and interviewed the store manager, who gave a description of the woman and vehicle she had fled in.
Troopers located the vehicle operated by Sherlock, who was in possession of the stolen property. Sherlock was processed at SP Olean and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Allegany court later this month.
